Trilobe Les Matinaux was inspired by founder Gautier Massonneau’s desire to rethink how we experience time, drawing influence from surrealist poet René Char and architectural elements like the rose window of Paris’s Sainte-Chapelle to create a more poetic, less rigid relationship with timekeeping; instead of traditional hands, the watch uses three eccentric rotating discs that move counterclockwise to symbolize a liberated, non-linear perception of time and encourage the wearer to engage with it in a more emotional and experiential way.
