The Angelus Chronodato watch came from a desire to combine practical calendar functions with the precision of a chronograph, creating a timepiece that offered both utility and mechanical sophistication. Introduced in 1942, during the challenges of World War II, the Chronodato was designed to meet the needs of professionals, scientists, and military personnel who required a reliable wristwatch with more than just timekeeping capabilities. By integrating a full calendar—day, date, and month—into a chronograph wristwatch, Angelus not only enhanced daily functionality but also set a precedent in horology, pioneering the concept of multi-complication wristwatches in serial production.
We know that your Angelus watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.

Angelus Chronodate Watch Repair >
The Angelus Chronodate was to reimagine the brand’s historic Chronodato—introduced in 1942 and celebrated as the first serially produced chronograph with a full calendar—through a modern lens, blending vintage heritage with contemporary design and materials. Revived in 2023 as part of Angelus’s commitment to honoring its legacy, the Chronodate draws from the original’s spirit of mechanical innovation and multi-functionality, while incorporating cutting-edge movements and bold aesthetics to appeal to a new generation of watch enthusiasts who appreciate both tradition and modernity in horology.

Angelus Chrono-Datoluxe Watch Repair >
The Angelus Chrono-Datoluxe watch was to push the boundaries of wristwatch functionality by merging high complications—namely a chronograph, moonphase, and a digital big date—into an elegant, legible design. Introduced in the 1950s, the Chrono-Datoluxe built upon the success of the Chronodato but took a bold step forward with a jumping digital date display at 12 o’clock, an innovation at the time, inspired by both aesthetic minimalism and the pursuit of mechanical clarity. It reflected Angelus’s ambition to create wristwatches that were not only technically advanced but also sophisticated and forward-looking in layout and usability.

Angelus Datalarm Watch Repair >
The Angelus Datalarm watch was to merge two practical complications—a mechanical alarm and a date display—into a single, streamlined wristwatch that catered to the needs of busy professionals in the post-war era. Introduced during the 1950s and 1960s when multifunction wristwatches were gaining popularity, the Datalarm was designed for wearers who valued both punctuality and day-to-day organization. By combining these features, Angelus aimed to offer a reliable, mechanical solution for daily time management, aligning with the brand’s legacy of crafting watches that were both innovative and utilitarian.

Angelus Tinkler Watch Repair >
The Angelus Tinkler watch was rooted in the post-World War II push for practical wristwatches that offered more than timekeeping—specifically, the addition of a mechanical alarm function for everyday utility. As society became more mobile and structured schedules became vital in the 1940s and 1950s, alarm watches gained popularity among professionals and travelers. The Angelus Tinkler, named after the distinctive sound of its mechanical alarm, was developed to offer users a reliable reminder mechanism without relying on external devices. Its creation reflected Angelus’s focus on functional complications and innovative watchmaking that catered to modern lifestyles.

What Our Customers Are Saying:
Heartfelt Testimonials on Watch Repair
I found Times Ticking on the internet. The last time I had a watch repaired locally it cost more than the watch did new. I got it back just like new 2 weeks later and 2,000 miles away. HIGHLY recommended. Times Ticking was prompt, inexpensive, and even phoned when they got my watch and told me in advance what it would cost to repair.
Their service was grade A!!! They're quick and professional; they always kept me updated with status of my watches. Their work is flawless which they stand behind, to me most importantly. They speak to you as if you're an old friend asking for help; in which they're always happy to do. Times Ticking; a place where you can ask an old friend for help.
I cannot speak to the local facilities or sales staff. I am an internet customer who took a chance and sent my prized Accutron watch across the country to folks I do not know and have never met. This was a big decision which took several weeks to discern. I am thrilled with my decision and am planning to send my Dad’s watch in for repair. The difference? This time there is no hesitation whatsoever.
I was thrilled that they were able to repair and clean up a watch that I had inherited from my mother. It looks great and works great. The service was fast. The person who called me about the watch was very friendly and seemed grateful for my business. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will use them again if the need arises. So refreshing to receive such good customer service these days!
I highly recommend Times Ticking for watch repair. Jesse & crew know their stuff and even take the time to talk with you. They communicate very friendly/professionally and most of all the prices are more than fair for such craftsmen skills! My opinion: They are like the American Restoration of watches.

HISTORY OF ANGELUS
The Legacy of Angelus: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation
Founded in 1891 in Le Locle, Switzerland, by the Stolz brothers, Angelus quickly earned a reputation for producing high-quality, in-house movements and innovative complications. The brand became known for its pioneering work in chronographs, alarm watches, and multi-function timepieces, including the iconic Chronodato released in 1942—the world’s first serially produced chronograph with calendar functions. Angelus also developed dashboard clocks and military timers, notably supplying timepieces during WWII.
After declining during the quartz crisis, the brand was revived in the 2010s by La Joux-Perret, returning to its roots with technically ambitious watches that honor its legacy of innovation and craftsmanship.
