The Legacy of Eone: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation

Eone began in 2013 in Washington, D.C., when founder Hyungsoo Kim noticed that watches designed for the visually impaired were often bulky, unattractive, or required pressing a button that disrupted the experience of checking the time. He set out to create a watch that both blind and sighted users could enjoy equally, leading to the development of the Bradley—a tactile timepiece named after Paralympian and Army veteran Brad Snyder, who lost his sight in Afghanistan yet continued to compete at the highest level. The Bradley uses two magnetically guided ball bearings to indicate hours and minutes by touch, allowing the wearer to read the time discreetly without looking at the dial.

After a widely successful crowdfunding campaign, Eone grew into a mission-driven company focused on inclusive, human-centered design, and its watches remain celebrated for blending minimalist aesthetics with meaningful accessibility rather than treating accessibility as an afterthought.
