Expert Care for Every Watch Style & Collection

We specialize in repairing popular Nivrel collections. Learn more about the history of these collections:

The Nivrel Deep Ocean Diver was inspired by the brand’s long-standing tradition of producing robust, technically capable dive watches. Building on the success of the earlier “Deep Sea” line, which became well-known among German and international enthusiasts, the Deep Ocean was designed to meet strict dive watch standards—including ISO/DIN guidelines—for water resistance, functionality, and safety. Housed in a 43 mm 316L steel case with a unidirectional bezel, screw-down crown, sapphire crystal (with date magnifier), and rated to 500 meters (50 bar), it channels serious utility through clean, legible styling and professional-grade build quality.

We know that your Nivrel watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.

The Héritage Automatique was inspired by Nivrel’s rebirth under Gerd Hofer in the early 1990s, embodying a fresh yet timeless design language that pays homage to classic dress watches. Its clean 40 mm case, flame‑blued dauphine hands, Roman numerals, and Clous‑de‑Paris guilloché dial in German silver reflect a dedication to craftsmanship and elegance. Powered by a reliable ETA 2824‑2 automatic movement, the watch represents a perfect balance of traditional styling and modern usability—symbolizing Nivrel’s renaissance with refined simplicity and Swiss‑German horological quality making a strong statement in their Heritage collection.

The La Grande Manuelle was inspired by traditional handcrafted German-Swiss timepieces and the desire to offer collectors a sophisticated, manual-wind dress watch with refined mechanical detail. It features a large ETA Unitas pocket-watch caliber (like the 6498), beautifully finished with Geneva stripes, blued screws, and a swan-neck regulator. The design—enhanced by flame-blued hands, a well-proportioned 42 mm case, and a small-seconds subdial—reflects classical elegance and artisan precision, while special editions (like the La Grande Manuelle X47) even partnered with a German stationery maker to emphasize craftsmanship through matching leather-bound accessories.

The Nivrel Replique Chronograph was inspired by a 1940s pilot’s chronograph originally crafted by Nivrel. In the early 1990s, the brand introduced a limited-edition manual-wind remake of that vintage model, using a Landeron 248 movement to honor its historical prototype. Subsequent editions followed, paying tribute to different mechanical chronographs from Nivrel’s mid-century lineup. These releases spotlighted heritage design cues—like blued-steel hands and classic dials—aimed at blending nostalgic pilot-watch aesthetics with finely crafted mechanics for collectors and enthusiasts.

The Nivrel Replique Pilot (Aviateur) series draws inspiration from classic German “flieger” pilot watches used during WWII, particularly those with Type A (Baumuster A) dials. Modern editions, such as the Replique Aviateur II and III, feature large, highly legible numerals, Super-LumiNova-coated hands and markers, a prominent triangle at 12 o’clock, and bold red accents—combining historical design cues with contemporary styling and reliable ETA movements to embody a refined, functional pilot’s watch for today’s enthusiasts.

HISTORY OF NIVREL

The Legacy of Nivrel: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation

Nivrel traces its origins to 1891, when goldsmith Friedrich Wilhelm Kraemer opened a jewelry and watch shop in Saarbrücken, Germany. The company later gained horological depth with the introduction of the Nivrel brand in 1936 by the Swiss watchmaker Marvin. After weathering the quartz crisis, the brand was dormant until 1993 when Gerd and Gitta Hofer revived it in Saarbrücken, integrating high-quality Swiss movements with German craftsmanship.

Today, Nivrel operates under Gerd Hofer GmbH, producing finely finished mechanical and quartz watches featuring complications like chronographs, moonphase indicators, and even tourbillons, all assembled in Germany with Swiss-made ebauches.
