Expert Care for Every Watch Style & Collection

We specialize in repairing popular Chronoswiss collections. Learn more about the history of these collections:

The Chronoswiss Delphis was inspired by classical 19th-century jumping-hour pocket watches and the elegant symmetry of retrograde displays, combining both ideas into a single, highly original wristwatch that blended tradition with innovation. Gerd-Rüdiger Lang wanted to create a timepiece that showcased mechanical creativity without losing the brand’s old-world charm, so he designed the Delphis with a digital jumping hour window, a sweeping retrograde minute hand, and a small analog seconds dial—three different ways of telling time working in harmony. This fusion of historic complications made the Delphis one of Chronoswiss’s most distinctive and technically imaginative creations.

We know that your Chronoswiss watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.

The Chronoswiss Flying Regulator was inspired by the brand’s desire to modernize its iconic regulator layout by giving it architectural depth—almost like a mechanical sculpture on the wrist. Drawing from contemporary haute horology and three-dimensional dial construction, Chronoswiss elevated the traditional regulator design by mounting the hour and seconds subdials on raised, “floating” bridges above a richly textured guilloché dial. This layered, aerial arrangement created the illusion that the time displays were hovering in space, blending classical craftsmanship with modern artistic engineering and reaffirming the regulator as the brand’s signature complication.

We know that your Chronoswiss watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.

The Chronoswiss Opus was inspired by the desire to showcase the full beauty of a mechanical movement by stripping away the dial and revealing the regulator architecture in an openworked, three-dimensional way. Drawing from traditional skeletonized pocket watches, Gerd-Rüdiger Lang reimagined the style for the modern wrist, using layered bridges, cutaway plates, and exposed gearing to highlight the artistry normally hidden beneath the dial. The Opus became one of the first serially produced skeletonized regulator wristwatches, turning transparency and mechanical purity into a defining part of Chronoswiss’s identity.

The Chronoswiss Régulateur was inspired by traditional regulator clocks used in watchmaking workshops during the 18th and 19th centuries, where separating the hours, minutes, and seconds onto different axes allowed watchmakers to read minutes with exceptional precision while adjusting movements. Gerd-Rüdiger Lang adapted this historic layout for the wrist, blending classical Swiss aesthetics—like fluted bezels, onion crowns, and blued hands—with modern mechanical craftsmanship, turning the regulator display into Chronoswiss’s signature identity and helping revive enthusiasm for mechanical watches during the quartz era.

The Chronoswiss Timemaster was inspired by early 20th-century pilot and observation watches, where bold numerals, oversized crowns, and high-contrast dials were essential for quick readability in low-light conditions. Gerd-Rüdiger Lang designed the Timemaster as a rugged, oversized sports watch that blended this utilitarian aviation heritage with Chronoswiss’s signature classical elements, including fluted bezels, luminous hands, and robust mechanical movements, creating a distinctive tool-watch identity within the brand’s otherwise dress-leaning collection.

HISTORY OF CHRONOSWISS

The Legacy of Chronoswiss: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation

Chronoswiss, founded in 1983 by German watchmaker Gerd-Rüdiger Lang in Munich, emerged during the depths of the quartz crisis with a mission to champion traditional mechanical watchmaking at a time when much of the industry had abandoned it. Lang, a former Heuer technician, built the brand around classical Swiss aesthetics—onion crowns, fluted bezels, hand-guilloché dials, and exhibition casebacks—helping revive public appreciation for mechanical movements and transparent craftsmanship. Chronoswiss became especially known for its regulators, including the Régulateur and Opus models, which helped define the brand’s identity and contributed to the mechanical renaissance of the 1980s and 1990s.

In 2012 the company moved to Lucerne under new ownership, continuing Lang’s vision with artisanal finishing, bold regulator variations, and limited-production mechanical pieces rooted in old-world horology.
