The Legacy of Fiona Krüger: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation

Fiona Krüger, originally from Scotland, established her brand in Switzerland after studying fine art and product design in Edinburgh, Paris, and at ECAL in Lausanne, where she became deeply connected to the country’s watchmaking traditions. While living in Switzerland she encountered 17th-century skull-shaped timepieces in museum collections, which, combined with the vivid symbolism of Día de los Muertos, inspired her groundbreaking Skull collection and set the tone for her artistic approach. Working with small Swiss workshops in regions like La Chaux-de-Fonds and the Vallée de Joux, she focuses on limited-production mechanical watches that emphasize hand-finishing, layered dials, symbolism, and sculptural design.

This blend of personal heritage, historical research, and Swiss craftsmanship has made her one of the most original and expressive figures in contemporary independent watchmaking.
