Guinand HS100 was inspired by the aviation and tool-watch traditions carried over from the Helmut Sinn era, drawing directly from the clean, highly legible pilot watches that Sinn and Guinand produced from the 1960s through the 1990s, and it was named “HS” as a tribute to Helmut Sinn himself, reflecting his long-standing design philosophy of functional minimalism, cockpit-style clarity, and rugged reliability, which made the HS100 a modern homage built to preserve the spirit of his original pilot chronographs while updating the materials and finishing for contemporary wear.

Guinand Model 361 Watch Repair >
Guinand Model 361 was inspired by the classic 1960s–1970s pilot chronographs designed under Helmut Sinn, specifically echoing the proportions, dial layout, and utilitarian philosophy of Sinn’s early 102 and 103-style tool chronographs, and it was created to honor the era when these robust Valjoux-powered watches became staples for pilots, navigators, and military personnel; the 361 preserves that heritage by keeping the clean bicompax design, high legibility, and no-nonsense construction that defined Sinn and Guinand’s early aviation instruments, effectively serving as a modern continuation of one of the brand’s most iconic chronograph blueprints.
We know that your Guinand watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.
Guinand Series 40 Watch Repair >
Guinand Series 40 was inspired by the iconic pilot chronographs Helmut Sinn developed in the late 1960s and 1970s, particularly the historic Sinn 155/156 and other Valjoux-powered tool watches known for their reliability, clarity, and rugged cockpit-ready functionality; when Guinand revived the design, the Series 40 carried forward the unmistakable look of those early aviation chronographs—bold Arabic numerals, high-contrast dial work, and a straightforward instrument-panel aesthetic—while updating the case, movement, and finishing to create a modern watch that still feels deeply rooted in Sinn’s original mission of building robust, purpose-driven flight instruments.
We know that your Guinand watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.
Guinand Series 60 Watch Repair >
Guinand Series 60 was inspired by the sporty, multi-purpose chronographs that emerged from Helmut Sinn’s design language in the 1970s, particularly the robust tool watches created for both pilots and motorsport timing, and it traces its lineage to the Chronosport/Sinn collaborations of that era that emphasized durability, clean legibility, and practical functionality in demanding environments; the Series 60 carries this heritage forward by blending aviation-style clarity with sport-chronograph versatility, resulting in a modern watch that feels like a direct evolution of the rugged, purpose-built timing instruments that shaped Guinand’s identity during the late 20th century.
We know that your Guinand watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.
Vintage Guinand Chrono Watch Repair >
Vintage Guinand Chronograph pieces were inspired by the mid-20th-century Swiss tool-watch ethos that emphasized simple, reliable mechanical timing instruments for pilots, engineers, and motorsport professionals, drawing on the era’s preference for clean bicompax or tricompax layouts, high-contrast dials, and sturdy manually wound movements that could withstand daily professional use; these early Guinand watches reflected a philosophy of function-first design with minimal decoration, making them practical cockpit or track companions, and their understated aesthetic and mechanical purity now define the vintage Guinand look that collectors appreciate today.
We know that your Guinand watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.

Heartfelt Testimonials on Watch Repair
Jane Murray ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I found Times Ticking on the internet. The last time I had a watch repaired locally it cost more than the watch did new. I got it back just like new 2 weeks later and 2,000 miles away. HIGHLY recommended. Times Ticking was prompt, inexpensive, and even phoned when they got my watch and told me in advance what it would cost to repair.
Keith Kerney ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Their service was grade A!!! They're quick and professional; they always kept me updated with status of my watches. Their work is flawless which they stand behind, to me most importantly. They speak to you as if you're an old friend asking for help; in which they're always happy to do. Times Ticking; a place where you can ask an old friend for help.
Matthew Emory ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I cannot speak to the local facilities or sales staff. I am an internet customer who took a chance and sent my prized Accutron watch across the country to folks I do not know and have never met. This was a big decision which took several weeks to discern. I am thrilled with my decision and am planning to send my Dad’s watch in for repair. The difference? This time there is no hesitation whatsoever.
Ellen Hymes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was thrilled that they were able to repair and clean up a watch that I had inherited from my mother. It looks great and works great. The service was fast. The person who called me about the watch was very friendly and seemed grateful for my business. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will use them again if the need arises. So refreshing to receive such good customer service these days!
Peter K ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I highly recommend Times Ticking for watch repair. Jesse & crew know their stuff and even take the time to talk with you. They communicate very friendly/professionally and most of all the prices are more than fair for such craftsmen skills! My opinion: They are like the American Restoration of watches.

HISTORY OF GUINAND
The Legacy of Guinand: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation
Guinand watches trace their legacy to 1865, when the Guinand family in Switzerland began producing precision chronograph components and became one of the industry’s most respected behind-the-scenes specialists. Their expertise attracted Helmut Sinn, who acquired the company in the mid-1990s and transformed it from a parts supplier into a maker of rugged pilot watches and mechanical chronographs built on his aviation-driven philosophy.
After Sinn retired at 101, Guinand remained independent and continued producing small-batch, hand-assembled watches in Frankfurt, preserving both the family’s craftsmanship and Sinn’s tool-watch ideals. Today, Guinand is admired for blending Swiss mechanical tradition with German engineering discipline, maintaining a continuous lineage of purpose-built chronographs for more than a century.
