The Hampden Model 1: Sullivan was inspired by the rebirth of American watchmaking, paying homage to the brand’s origins in 19th-century Canton, Ohio, while embracing modern precision and craftsmanship. Its design draws from the clean geometry and refined detailing of early Hampden pocket watches, blending classic American character with Swiss movement technology. The name “Sullivan” reflects strength, reliability, and timeless style—qualities that defined the original Hampden ethos. As the first model of Hampden’s modern relaunch, the Sullivan represents both a tribute to the brand’s pioneering heritage and a statement of its renewed vision for contemporary horology.

What Our Customers Are Saying:
Heartfelt Testimonials on Watch Repair
Jane Murray ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I found Times Ticking on the internet. The last time I had a watch repaired locally it cost more than the watch did new. I got it back just like new 2 weeks later and 2,000 miles away. HIGHLY recommended. Times Ticking was prompt, inexpensive, and even phoned when they got my watch and told me in advance what it would cost to repair.
Keith Kerney ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Their service was grade A!!! They're quick and professional; they always kept me updated with status of my watches. Their work is flawless which they stand behind, to me most importantly. They speak to you as if you're an old friend asking for help; in which they're always happy to do. Times Ticking; a place where you can ask an old friend for help.
Matthew Emory ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I cannot speak to the local facilities or sales staff. I am an internet customer who took a chance and sent my prized Accutron watch across the country to folks I do not know and have never met. This was a big decision which took several weeks to discern. I am thrilled with my decision and am planning to send my Dad’s watch in for repair. The difference? This time there is no hesitation whatsoever.
Ellen Hymes ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was thrilled that they were able to repair and clean up a watch that I had inherited from my mother. It looks great and works great. The service was fast. The person who called me about the watch was very friendly and seemed grateful for my business. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will use them again if the need arises. So refreshing to receive such good customer service these days!
Peter K ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

They communicate very friendly/professionally and most of all the prices are more than fair for such craftsmen skills! My opinion: They are like the American Restoration of watches.

HISTORY OF HAMPDEN
The Legacy of Hampden: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation
The Hampden Watch Company traces its roots to 1850, when the New York Watch Company was founded in Roxbury, Massachusetts, later reorganized as the Springfield Watch Company and renamed Hampden in 1877. Celebrated for its precision and craftsmanship, Hampden quickly rose among America’s leading watchmakers, producing some of the nation’s earliest high-grade movements. In 1888, watch case maker John C. Deuber purchased the company and moved operations to Canton, Ohio, where it became renowned for pioneering 16-size, 23-jewel American movements before merging into the Deuber-Hampden Watch Company in 1923. After bankruptcy in 1927, its machinery was sold to the Soviet Union, closing a defining chapter in American horology.
Nearly a century later, the Hampden name was revived by the Wein family—whose watchmaking legacy began with Hyman Wein’s founding of the Clinton Watch Company in Chicago in 1922—marking a full-circle return for the brand. The family acquired the rights to Hampden in 1958, preserving the name through generations until Joe and Daniel Wein reimagined it in 2025 as a living continuation of that heritage, not a corporate revival but a personal story reborn from a father’s gift to his son: the first Model 1 “Sullivan.”
Today’s Hampden fuses classic American design with Swiss precision through its patented Casecap system and a launch collection featuring the Sullivan, Algren, Sandburg, and Dixon—each crafted as an heirloom of story, craftsmanship, and emotion. Hampden’s return isn’t a resurrection; it’s a generational handoff from America’s watchmaking past to its enduring future.
