Kieninger, founded in 1912 in Aldingen, Germany by Joseph Kieninger, rose to prominence as a leading maker of high-quality mechanical clock movements, supplying respected clockmakers across Europe and the United States and earning a reputation for precision, durability, and intricate chime systems.
Despite the quartz crisis, Kieninger remained focused on traditional craftsmanship and in 1993 became part of the Howard Miller Company, continuing to produce finely engineered movements; today, Kieninger clocks are valued for their precision, heritage, and lasting role in mechanical horology.
