Expert Care for Every Watch Style & Collection

We specialize in repairing popular RGM collections. Learn more about the history of these collections:

The RGM Model 222-RR draws its inspiration from early 20th-century American railroad watches, particularly those featuring the Montgomery marginal minute dial. This design, patented by Henry S. Montgomery around 1906, was known for its precise minute markings and enhanced legibility—essential features for railroad professionals who required accurate timekeeping. RGM pays homage to this heritage by incorporating a Grand Feu enamel dial with bold Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, mirroring the aesthetics of vintage railroad timepieces. Additionally, the watch is powered by restored vintage Hamilton pocket watch movements (grades 921 or 923), further cementing its connection to historical American watchmaking.

We know that your RGM watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.

The RGM 801 Classic watch draws its inspiration from the golden age of American pocket watch craftsmanship, particularly from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Its design elements pay homage to iconic timepieces of that era, featuring a double-sunk Grand Feu enamel dial reminiscent of vintage pocket watches. The in-house Caliber 801 movement showcases bridges inspired by the Keystone Howard Watch Company’s “Edward Howard” model and incorporates a winding click mechanism influenced by the Illinois Watch Company’s “Illini” model. These historical references, combined with meticulous hand-finishing techniques like perlage, anglage, and Geneva stripes, embody RGM’s commitment to reviving traditional American watchmaking artistry.

The RGM Model 300 Professional Diver was conceived as a modern American dive watch built from the ground up to meet the rigorous demands of professional divers. Emphasizing durability and functionality, it features a 43.5mm stainless steel case, a 5mm-thick sapphire crystal, and soft iron shielding to protect against magnetism. The unidirectional ceramic bezel is secured with side screws, allowing for precise adjustments by watchmakers. With a water resistance rating of 2,500 feet, the Model 300 is designed for extreme underwater conditions. Its robust construction and practical design elements reflect RGM’s commitment to creating timepieces that honor traditional American watchmaking while serving contemporary needs.

The RGM Model 151 is inspired by early 20th-century American military and railroad watches, particularly those used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War I. These timepieces were renowned for their precision, legibility, and durability—essential qualities for military operations. RGM pays homage to this heritage with the 151-COE variant, featuring a Grand Feu enamel dial, vintage-style Arabic numerals, and blued steel hands, echoing the design elements of the original Corps of Engineers watches. The Model 151 line also includes pilot-style versions with large, luminous numerals and sword hands, reflecting the functionality and clarity required in aviation timepieces. By blending historical design cues with modern craftsmanship, the Model 151 series embodies RGM’s commitment to preserving and celebrating American watchmaking traditions.

The RGM Pennsylvania Tourbillon was inspired by a desire to revive the legacy of American watchmaking by creating the first serially produced tourbillon wristwatch made in the United States. Roland G. Murphy, founder of RGM Watch Co., aimed to honor the craftsmanship of 19th-century American horology, particularly the traditions rooted in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The watch features an in-house movement with a large, hand-crafted tourbillon cage, and incorporates design elements such as wolf’s tooth winding wheels and hand-cut guilloché, reflecting both historical techniques and modern precision. This blend of heritage and innovation underscores RGM’s commitment to reestablishing America’s presence in high-end mechanical watchmaking.

HISTORY OF RGM

The Legacy of RGM: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation

Founded in 1992 by watchmaker Roland G. Murphy in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, RGM Watch Company is a modern revival of American horology. After studying at WOSTEP and working for Hamilton, Murphy launched RGM to blend classical design with expert craftsmanship, eventually introducing the hand-finished Caliber 801—the first U.S.-made mechanical movement in decades.

Operating from a restored bank in Lancaster County, RGM carries on Pennsylvania’s rich watchmaking tradition. Known for its guilloché dials, coin-edge cases, and small-batch production, RGM creates heirloom-quality timepieces that honor both heritage and innovation.
