The Edox SkyDiver, originally released in 1973, is shrouded in an air of mystery and military lore. According to Edox, the watch was allegedly commissioned by a Swiss colonel for an elite military parachute unit, who needed a timepiece rugged enough to endure harsh jumps and survival conditions. Whether myth or truth, the story gave the SkyDiver an adventurous edge that resonated with collectors. Its design reflected the tactical needs of the time—featuring a durable case, reliable automatic movement, and strong water resistance, making it suitable for both air and sea. When Edox reissued the model in 2019, they preserved the vintage aesthetic while upgrading the technical specs, tapping into the growing appetite for heritage-inspired tool watches. The SkyDiver’s appeal lies in its blend of military function, timeless style, and the romantic idea of a watch built for a secret mission.

Edox Chronorally Watch Repair >
The Edox Chronorally was rooted in the high-octane world of motorsports, where precision timing, durability, and bold legibility are essential. Designed in collaboration with professional rally drivers and racing teams, the Chronorally line aimed to meet the exacting demands of motorsport timing under extreme conditions. Its oversized chronograph pushers were inspired by rally car dashboard controls—large enough to be used with gloves—while the bold dial layouts mimicked the high-contrast gauges found in race cars. The rubber straps, tachymeter scales, and sporty case designs were all tailored to evoke speed, control, and technical performance. Whether strapped to the wrist of a driver or used by a pit crew, the Chronorally embodied Edox’s commitment to merging Swiss precision with adrenaline-fueled design.

Edox Delfin Watch Repair >
The Edox Delfin, released in 1961, was the growing demand for robust, water-resistant watches that could keep up with the era’s adventurous spirit—particularly among divers, sailors, and active professionals. Named after the dolphin, a creature known for its agility and ability to thrive in extreme underwater conditions, the Delfin was designed to embody both strength and fluidity. Its defining innovation—a double O-ring gasket system and a reinforced case back—was developed to dramatically improve water resistance beyond what traditional watches offered at the time. Edox wasn’t just chasing a trend; it was engineering a solution to real-world limitations in waterproof watchmaking. The Delfin’s launch marked a turning point for the brand, aligning Edox with the rise of functional, stylish sports watches that could withstand pressure—both literally and metaphorically.

Edox Hydrosub Watch Repair >
The Edox Hydrosub, introduced in 1965, stemmed from the growing demand for professional-grade dive watches during the golden age of underwater exploration. Following the success of the Delfin, Edox aimed to push the boundaries even further—designing a watch that could survive extreme underwater conditions with both precision and durability. The Hydrosub was engineered for deep-sea divers, boasting an impressive 500-meter water resistance rating, which was exceptional for its time. Its name, a fusion of “hydro” (water) and “sub” (submarine), reflected the watch’s purpose-built identity. With bold, legible dials, rotating bezels, and reinforced cases, the Hydrosub combined functionality with adventurous aesthetics. Later limited-edition releases, like the North Pole dive expeditions, drew on this heritage—reaffirming the model’s role as a rugged companion for exploration in the world’s harshest environments.

Edox Les Bémonts Ultra Slim Watch Repair >
The Edox Les Bémonts Ultra Slim was to celebrate the elegance and technical finesse of traditional Swiss watchmaking, with a specific focus on minimalism and comfort. Named after the forested region Les Bémonts near Edox’s headquarters in Les Genevez—a place associated with quiet beauty and refined craftsmanship—the collection embodies understated luxury. The Ultra Slim model was designed to showcase how slim a high-quality Swiss watch could be without sacrificing performance or style. Powered by one of the world’s thinnest quartz movements (just 1.4mm thick), the watch became a tribute to simplicity, precision, and wearability, appealing to those who wanted classic sophistication in a form that practically disappears on the wrist. Its inspiration came not from the world of sports or adventure, but from the idea that elegance is found in restraint.
We know that your Edox watch is important to you and understand that the sentimental value more often than not outweighs the monetary value. Our expert watchmakers strive to make sure your watch can be worn for many years to come.

What Our Customers Are Saying:
Heartfelt Testimonials on Watch Repair
I found Times Ticking on the internet. The last time I had a watch repaired locally it cost more than the watch did new. I got it back just like new 2 weeks later and 2,000 miles away. HIGHLY recommended. Times Ticking was prompt, inexpensive, and even phoned when they got my watch and told me in advance what it would cost to repair.
Their service was grade A!!! They're quick and professional; they always kept me updated with status of my watches. Their work is flawless which they stand behind, to me most importantly. They speak to you as if you're an old friend asking for help; in which they're always happy to do. Times Ticking; a place where you can ask an old friend for help.
I cannot speak to the local facilities or sales staff. I am an internet customer who took a chance and sent my prized Accutron watch across the country to folks I do not know and have never met. This was a big decision which took several weeks to discern. I am thrilled with my decision and am planning to send my Dad’s watch in for repair. The difference? This time there is no hesitation whatsoever.
I was thrilled that they were able to repair and clean up a watch that I had inherited from my mother. It looks great and works great. The service was fast. The person who called me about the watch was very friendly and seemed grateful for my business. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will use them again if the need arises. So refreshing to receive such good customer service these days!
I highly recommend Times Ticking for watch repair. Jesse & crew know their stuff and even take the time to talk with you. They communicate very friendly/professionally and most of all the prices are more than fair for such craftsmen skills! My opinion: They are like the American Restoration of watches.

HISTORY OF EDOX
The Legacy of Edox: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation
Edox, founded in 1884 by Christian Ruefli-Flury in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, began as a small workshop producing handcrafted pocket watches. The name “Edox,” derived from the Greek word for “hour,” and its hourglass logo were registered in 1900, symbolizing precision and timeless craftsmanship. After Ruefli-Flury’s death, the company was taken over by Robert Kaufman-Hug, who helped Edox transition into wristwatches in the early 20th century. A major milestone came in 1961 with the introduction of the Delfin, a shock-resistant and water-resistant watch featuring a double case back—an innovation that set new standards for sports watches. This was followed by the launch of the Hydrosub in 1965, a professional-grade dive watch capable of withstanding 500 meters of depth. Throughout the quartz crisis, Edox maintained its presence by embracing quartz technology while still producing mechanical timepieces.
In the modern era, Edox continues to focus on precision sports watches, especially in the diving and racing sectors, and remains one of the few independent Swiss watch companies, headquartered today in Les Genevez.
