IAXA watches were part of the mid-20th century Swiss private-label industry, assembling timepieces with reliable third-party movements from makers like Landeron, Valjoux, and ETA to meet growing postwar demand for affordable wristwatches. The brand focused on practical manual-wind chronographs and dress watches sold through European jewelers during the sport-watch boom of the 1950s through the 1970s.

Like many similar marques, IAXA was impacted by the quartz crisis of the 1970s, eventually fading as battery-powered watches overtook mechanical designs. Surviving examples remain appreciated for their solid Swiss construction, classic chronograph styling, and connection to the golden era of accessible mechanical timekeeping.
