The Legacy of Olga: A History of Precision, Style and Innovation

The history of Olga watches remains somewhat mysterious, as few records of the company survive. Based on known examples, Olga appears to have been a small Swiss watch brand active during the early 20th century, producing pocket watches, wristwatches, pendant watches, and ladies’ cocktail watches. Many Olga timepieces are associated with Swiss-made movements, including some marked Cretets Watch Co. Swiss.

Although Olga never achieved the fame of brands like Waltham, Elgin, or Omega, its watches reflected the era’s shift from pocket watches to wristwatches and jewelry-inspired designs. Today, vintage Olga watches are valued by collectors for their rarity, craftsmanship, and enduring mystery.
