Junghans, founded in 1861 in Schramberg, Germany by Erhard Junghans and Jakob Zeller-Tobler, grew from a small workshop into Germany’s largest timepiece maker and a global leader in precision engineering. Its design legacy peaked in the 1950s and 1960s through collaborations with Swiss designer Max Bill, whose Bauhaus-inspired creations defined a new era of minimalist style.

In 1990 Junghans introduced the world’s first radio-controlled wristwatch, the Mega, combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge accuracy.
